It’s been a privilege serving Dufferin-Caledon for the last 6 years.

I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished together for our community in such a short time. 

​

Honouring those who serve our community has been a distinct pleasure. Over the past six years I:

​

• recognized and honoured community champions for their selfless service during the Covid 19 pandemic.

• presented Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pins to community heroes who exemplify the devoted service Her Majesty demonstrated during her 70 years on the Throne.

• awarded King Charles III Coronation Medals to community champions for their exceptional service and outstanding contributions to Dufferin-Caledon.

Representing you and being your voice in Ottawa has been my commitment from day 1. I’ve held town hall meetings all across Dufferin Caledon to learn about the issues that are important to you. I also made sure I knew how you wanted me to vote on bills in Ottawa. I frequently sent out surveys asking you how I should vote and I voted they way the majority of respondents asked me to!

Members of Parliament can draft one bill per term of Parliament to make changes to laws in Canada. They are called Private Members Bills. Only 1% of Private Members Bills become law. In the spring of 2023, my Private Members Bill to reform the immigration system became law in Canada!

​

What I am most proud of was creating and organizing Hockey Night in Dufferin-Caledon. In just three short years, this family-friendly community event has raised over $350,000 to support the purchase of an MRI machine for our local hospital!

 

My goal is to be your true local representative and build a better country for your children and mine: Aidan, Maya, and William. There’s still much to do and together, with your support, we will do it! Let’s Bring it Home!
